It's Getting Dark Outside...

and thundering. I think one of those typical springtime storms is headed our way. We need the rain. A bad storm we DON'T need. Sometimes they can be kind of exciting though. I remember once, years ago, during a torrential downpour, I actually went outside and stood on the front steps. Everything had that "spring time fresh" scent. This is starting to sound like a fabric softener commercial, but the moment is very hard to describe. It was quite a while ago. It was almost surreal. I wish I had kept a journal back then. Maybe I could have described it better.

I know what you mean...
I LOVE being outside during a big storm. Whenever we had hurricanes in New Jersey, I'd go out and just watch it do it's thing.
Once, 3 mini tornedos went down the middle of our street. They took a lot of garbage cans and lawn stuff along with them as they went but not much real damage.
Very cool! :)

Wow!!! How cool. I do remember that this moment I described above happened during the time when I was re-evaluating my spirituality. I had just finished reading a few chapters from a book that helped me begin that process, and I went to my front door and saw the rain coming down.

I went out on the front steps and stood there for a few minutes, letting the raindrops fall on me. In that moment, for a few seconds at least, I literally felt that connection to EVERYTHING that exists for all of us. The one that is always there, but, since humans ARE human and stupid, we tend to forget about it and get caught up in all the crap in our lives. It was such an amazing feeling. My eyes are beginning to well up a bit even as I'm remembering this.

That was such a great time.

We've had one each night at 7 when I've been leaving work - for two days in a row! And building another one for tonight.

OMG - it's been HAILING! Hello? Who said they could do that??

Just watch out for your electric personality Tommy. :)

HeeHeeHee.

Honey, I ALWAYS have to watch out for THAT. It gets me into trouble more than I'd care to remember.

Thanks for the compliment. :-)
