My Thursday...

Today was the last day that "The Matrix Reloaded is playing in my area. So, of course I HAD to go see it.

I went to the 3:25 p.m. showing with my Dad. There were 5 other folks in there with us. I always wait until the last day that a movie plays here before I go see it. The theater doesn't have as many people in it when I wait until the last day. I do this on purpose. I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT STAND people who sit in a movie theater and talk, play around, etc. I strongly believe that when you go to see a movie in a theater, you should immerse yourself in the world of the film. All the talking and other extraneous noises from other audience members is not only annoying, but it is also EXTREMELY rude. It is also disrespectful to all of the creative personnel involved in making the film.

If I want to talk, I will sit at home at do it for free. Yes, I am one of those folks who does not speak once the movie begins and I usually don't leave my seat until EVERY LAST END CREDIT has rolled across the screen.

Which in the case of "The Matrix Reloaded" is a good thing. As most of your probably know, if you stay in the theater until all of the end credits have completed (which takes a little over 10 minutes), you will get a sneak preview of the third film in the series, "Revolutions." This film will be released in November and looks to be as good as, if not better than "Reloaded."

Needless to say the film is brilliant. It is also worthy of several viewings. The philosophical story is quite complex, intriguing, and thought-provoking, and the visuals are simply stunning. The 20-minute car chase alone is worth the price of admission.

Once again, I have something to aspire to.

I agree, I can't stand those noisey inconciderate fuckers that go in the theatre and ruin everybody's experience.

Glad you enjoyed the movie. Now I can go see it! now i guess i'll go see it!

I agree as well.. It's very rude for people to have a conversation during the movie.. why did you pay the money if your just going to talk.. AND TURN OFF YOUR CELL PHONES...

Glad you enjoyed the movie...

Maybe we will get to see it at the IMAX theater.

Either way we HAVE to see it together.

There were points in the story where I just wasn't into keeping up with it, but overall, I don't have any major complaints about it. This is the second one in the trilogy and all "middle films" tend to lack a bit in the story department.

Also, "The Matrix" films almost REQUIRE more than one viewing to catch and absorb everything because the story is so complex.

You and me both will probably come away with a different perspective on the story after we see it again. Mikey is coming up from Florida again this July 4th weekend (the one-year anniversary of when we met in person - teehee), and he wants to see it with me. It starts playing at our IMAX theater on the 4th, so we MAY go there, but I will definately see it one more time in a theater.

Of course, I will buy the DVD when that comes out too.

*I just had a thought: Maybe you and me should write/produce/shoot our own movie. As much as we love them, it's bound to be good.*

Hmmmmmm. Lets throw some ideas around and see what happens.

And as I recall, a few years ago, we actually DID talk about doing a movie. We even did a bit of casting.

Remember that?
