1. One book that changed your life:

Going Within: A Guide for Spiritual Transformation by Shirley Maclaine - I read this book when it was first published back in 1989. I read it at a time when I was working out my own spiritual beliefs. Reading the book helped me re-connect with that spirituality and introduced me to a form of meditation that I still use today.

2. One book that you’ve read more than once:

See the answer to number one. I've read it three times, and each time I come away with a sense of renewal and rejuvenation.

3. One book you’d want on a desert island:

I'd want to bring all of my books with me. I would not have bought them all if they did not mean something to me.

4. One book that made you laugh:

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. The sequel: Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator cracks me up too. I love his dark sense of humor.

5. One book that made you cry:

Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. The way she uses language and description...I felt as though I were transported back to the time she was describing. There is also a sense of longing in that book that is beyond words. It is also a very spiritual book.

6. One book that you wish had been written:

Actually, I wish Oprah Winfrey would pen her autobiography. She is an amazing woman who grew up in poverty and through education and hard work created a life for herself that allows her to have great abundance AND give back to the world. She is one of my personal heroes and I admire her greatly.

7. One book that you wish had never been written:

Actually, I've NEVER read a book that I thought should not have been written. I've learned something from every book I've ever read. Even if I hated the book. It's also VERY rare for me to completely hate a book.

8. One book you’re currently reading:

Several months ago, I started reading My Friend Leonard by James Frey. This is the sequel to his book A Million Little Pieces. I got so busy at work that I put the book down and have not had a chance to get back to it yet.

9. One book you’ve been meaning to read:

I've heard a lot of great things about Mary Renault, but I have never read any of her books. I would like to pick some up and read them.
