What a Way to Waste an Hour

At 1:00 o'clock, I started watching The Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Duel. This is what seems like the millionth iteration of this show. Of course, I'm exaggerating, but my God this show has been around for a long time.

I think it's time to think about retiring these Challenge shows.  They used to be kind of interesting and even fun to watch, but now, they've dissolved into a three-ring circus of dysfunction. Now, the show is just about a bunch of loud-mouthed, overbearing, money hungry people who will do anything for two seconds of camera time (HELLO...Tina and Beth...to name just two).

I'm starting to long for the days when MTV was still MUSIC television. Do they even PLAY music anymore?

The reality show craze is becoming SO OVERDONE. It's about time to think about sacking all of these reality shows and kick start the creativity in TV programming again.

I just wonder if any of the TV executives out there are really LISTENING to what their veiewers want?

There are too many reality shows and rarely enough fun shows to watch.

For some reason, I've lost interest in "The Amazing Race."

I'm not quite sure why either.

I've noticed that if there are new reality shows they are mostly on cable channels. Network TV has cut down on them but have stayed with proven shows.. although shows like Survivor, Big Brother, and Amazing Race are losing more and more veiwers.

MTV and VH-1 are nothing but "reality networks" now.

Do they even PLAY music anymore?
