My Weekend...

Friday: Came home and cleaned up a bit. I am trying really hard to get organized here at home. To really make it work, I have to work on it EVERY day.

Later in the evening, the folks and I watched my "Fantasia" DVD. Yes, the Disney movie. Disney is sending a few of its films back into "The Vault" for a while. "Fantasia" and "Fantasia 2000" are among the films that will no longer be produced on DVD/Video. So, I ordered DVD copies for myself recently.

At 9:00 p.m., I watched one of the new episodes of "Absolutely Fabulous." The Oxygen Network is running brand-new episodes of this show. This episode featured Saffron giving birth. It was appropriately titled "Birthin'." It was hilarious as usual.

Saturday: Slept late (until Noon), woke up, took a bath, ate lunch, checked my e-mail and then proceeded to clean/organize some more.

Saturday night, we watched my "Fantasia 2000" DVD. I had never seen this film before. I have to say that it is great. The music choices were good, and the animation is excellent. One of the pieces of music they chose for this film is "Pomp and Circumstance," which most of us know from graduation ceremonies. It was interesting to hear the entire piece of music. The animation that went along with this segment was also imaginative and funny. "Fantasia 2000" also includes a segment from the original film, "The Sorcerer's Apprentice." That is actually one of my favorite segments.

I sometimes wish that I had some people around to discuss the films with after watching them. My parents enjoy movies and such, but they aren't as "into" the whole process as I am. It would be nice to find people who love the whole thing as much as I do. I miss that.

I cleaned and organized more after the film. Every little step gets me where I want to be.

Today (Sunday): Slept in again, until 12:20 this time. Got dressed, called the Mouse, ate lunch. After lunch, I started watching The Food Network. They are doing a marathon of "Paula's Home Cooking" with Paula Deen. She owns "The Lady and Son's" restaurant down in Georgia. I love her. I've gotten a few good recipes from her today too, like vegetable pancakes, dreamsicles, and chocolate popcorn balls.

I will watch a bit of the Superbowl today. I'm not a BIG fan of football. I'm more of a basketball person. Of course I AM interested in the game though, because The Panthers are in it. I will DEFINATELY tune in to the halftime show though. LOL

Tonight at 9:00, I will watch "Sex and the City" while on the phone with The Mouse.

Then at 10:00, I will be moving to Showtime for "The L-Word" while on the phone with Mikey.

and that's my weekend.

Hey D.

I got busy with work for a while and didn't post as much. I also needed a bit of a break from Live Journal, but I have started posting more and more entries recently.

I'm doing pretty well actually. No major complaints. I just try to keep moving forward and focus on the good stuff. It is hard to maintain that focus sometimes though. BELIEVE ME. Sometimes there are days when it takes all the energy I can muster to just get through the day. I'm glad that you decided to keep your LJ around. I do enjoy reading your posts. I would have missed you if you had disappeared.

Don't let 'em get you down D. Keep your head up.
