Weekend Update

It was a pretty typical weekend around here.

Sunday, I watched the finale of "Sex and the City" while on the phone with the Mouse. I am really going to miss that show.

After that, I videotaped the "10th Annual Screen Actor's Guild Awards" and watched "The L Word" on showtime and chatted with Mikey.

The most eventful thing that happened this weekend was that my computer mouse died yesterday. It started off working fine, I left the computer to eat lunch, and when I got back, the mouse was no longer working.

The good news though is that you don't actually NEED a mouse to operate the computer. You can do everything you need to do using the keyboard. You just have to know how to do it. So, yes, I am surfing the web etc., using nothing but my keyboard. I will get another mouse eventually, because it DOES take a little bit longer to do things using the keyboard, but it IS do-able.

My old mouse was an el-cheapo unit that came with my computer when I had it built. The brand name is Keytronic. Until this system, I had never even HEARD of Keytronic. My theory is maybe the mouse got zapped as well when my computer got zapped by lightning last summer and just took a while to go kaput. Or the mouse probably just died of old age/use. It WAS three years old after all.

I have my eye on an optical mouse now. There are less moving parts, therefore, nothing inside the mouse to clean/maintain/get broken. I am not quite sure when I will get one though.

It may take me a while to comment on my friend's entries now because I'm using the keyboard for everything, so PLEASE don't think I'm ignoring you or not reading, because that isn't the case. I am reading your entries, it just may take me a while to comment.

Any suggestions/recommendations for new Mouse devices are GREATLY appreciated, so please send them my way if you have any.

I use a speedball mouse, or marble mouse. The sucker is lightning fast. I use it for all the graphics that I do and need fast acting control. It is a logitech, and I stand by those guys. Good stuff there. :D my web cam is a logitech. I had some good time with it.

I remember when your comp got hit. You were talking to me. I remember those days too. I remember them fondly.

Logitech is a good company. I can't recall ever using their mouse devices, but every web cam I've ever had (I've only had two) has been a Logitech and they are really good. I will have to do some research on the Mouse that you recommended.

Yes, I WAS talking to you when my computer got hit. I remember too. We haven't talked in a while have we? I'm usually not online during the day since I'm working, but it's a pretty safe bet that I'll be online at some point during the evening hours.

I hardly EVER see you online anymore when I am on.

We can chat whenever you like. We might have to plan/schedule it but we can do it.

I didn't mean to imply any importants in me by stateing that you were talking to me. I was pointing out that it was a very sweet and heart felt jesture to put your comp in harms way like you did; by not getting of the internet like you should have when the storm came. We were both in that storm. I remember timeing the rain and the stuff by how fast it was moveing and when it would reach each other. I wasn't putting my comp in nearly the danger you were. I have 3 surge protectors on mine. Yes a bit over done, but then I will never lose my stuff to any storm.

I miss those days and wish they had never left. (just a cancers fondness for good times of the past)

Im sorry that I am so busy too. That is what happens when there is nothing else in my life. I simply lose myself in work. I don't use AIM much anymore. There just hasn't been anyone to keep it up for. (lol in more ways then one if you follow me) Maybe some time we can see if we can recant some of those times. The summer time is comeing and it will get increacingly dificalt to catch me on at all. I will be (post and run). I hope I do get to talk to you some time.

I know you weren't implying anything. I miss talking to you. I rarely talk to anyone online anymore. Usually when I'm online, my friends aren't or vice-versa (which is why I said we may have to schedule something).

I miss all of my friends that I used to chat with online. I have been lucky enough to meet some wonderful people (like you :) ) online. We just can't seem to coordinate our schedules.

Some of my friends have probably disowned me though :( (I'm kidding).

It would be cool to talk and catch up on stuff. We will have to work something out so that we can chat one day.
